Dr. Kehinde Abodunde Adegbite was born on January 2nd, 1953 in Ayede – Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He had his Primary education at St. James’ School, Idi-Ape, Abeokuta and St. Paul’s School, Omu-Aran from 1960 to 1966. For his Secondary education, he completed WAEC and HSC at Government Secondary School, Ilorin between 1967 and 1973 June, coming out with Grade 1 and passing all the 3 papers in HSC. He attended University of Ife from 1974 to 1977 and finished with a B. Sc. Degree (2nd Class Lower) in Agriculture. He had his M. Sc., Pedology and Soil Survey from University of Reading, U. K. between Sep. 1981 and Aug. 1982. He got a Ph. D. in Soil Science from University of Ilorin in 1993. He taught for a year after completing HSC course in 1973. He undertook the National Youth Service from 1977 Sep. to 1978 Aug. He also taught for 6 months before joining the services of Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin in 1979 as an Agric. Officer II (Soils) and rising to the highest professional level in the Federal Government Service as Executive Director (Services). He retired voluntarily from service on attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60 years on Jan. 2nd 2013. Presently, he is on contract as a Senior Lecturer at Landmark University, Omu-Aran.
