TOWARDS A TOTAL GRADUATE PROGRAMME KICKS OFF

Preparatory to release her 2020 set of graduates to the world for positive impact, Landmark kicked off the Towards a Total Graduate (TTG) programme for the prospective graduands on Monday, 16th November 2020. Towards a Total Graduate (TTG) is a custom built programme of the University specially designed to prepare and package the final year students for their world as change agents with the capacity to break the barriers of limitation to their accomplishments. The two weeks programme was scheduled to hold between Monday 16th and 27th November 2020.

Performing the inauguration of the 2020 TTG on behalf of the Chancellor and Chairman Board of Regents BOR, Dr. David Oyedepo, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju welcomed the final year students to the event with high hopes for the event to deliver its benefits while the students make the most of the season. “On behalf of the Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Dr David Oyedepo, I welcome you all to this mountain of encounter. In the past 4-5 years now, our Faculty and Staff have dutifully impacted you with knowledge and you as individuals have tried as much as possible to acquire some skills. Also, your spiritual capacity has been built from the Chaplaincy platform. What you are going to be encountering on this ground are finishing and furnishing.

“I want to encourage you that in the next two weeks, you give a rapt attention to the teachings and the impartation that will be coming your way from both our internal and external facilitators. They are what will culminate into you becoming a generation of leaders and an army of reformers that the world is waiting for.”

In furtherance of his admonition to the students to make the most of the programme, Professor Olayanju, while emphasizing that their journey to the world of works is between them and their God, enthused that they should never take God out of their race because it is a walk with God that confers grace on them for directions and great accomplishments. He, therefore, congratulated them on the successful journey so far and wished them an impactful TTG programme.

Describing the programme earlier, the Registrar of the University, Miss Fola Oyinloye, revealed that the TTG is phenomenal in the University context noting that so many testimonies of blessedness have trailed the programme since its inauguration in 2006 towards the release of the first set of graduates at the Covenant University. While admonishing them to beware of the excitement of the season but focusing on what God has for them in their new beginning, Miss Oyinloye encouraged the students to see the programme as their own pre-Shiloh encounter where God will deliver to them nuggets for their future. ‘I am, therefore, confident that when you will look back 10, 20, 30 years from today, you will all thank God and your parents for sending you to Landmark University, as well as the Chancellor who received the leading to put together this kind of programme for your profiting,’ she concluded.

To reinforce and register the importance of this programme in the hearts of the students, an oath of commitment was administered to them by the Legal Officer, Barr. Funmilayo Olatunji.
