LANDMARK UNIVERSITY ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS RECOGNIZE INNOVATION AND CONTRIBUTION TO SKILL DEVELOPMENT

In a celebration of innovation and commitment to skill development, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Ajanaku presented Entrepreneur Awards to a total of 28 distinguished and deserving students, faculty and staff of the University during the Chapel Services of Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd November, 2023. 

The awards, flagged under the aegis of the Directorate of University-wide Courses of Landmark University, and designed with the bifocal purpose of enhancing skill acquisition programs at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Studies and fostering increased student engagement, were based on exceptional projects reflecting a wide spectrum of creativity and practicality in addressing contemporary challenges carried out by the students in their respective entrepreneurial endeavours. Remarkably, the awards were extended beyond the student body to faculty and staff members who were honoured for their substantial contributions toward revamping the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Studies for its current productivity and enhancing its ability to nurture budding entrepreneurs effectively.

According to the Director of University-wide Courses, Dr Adejumoke Inyinbo, the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Studies programmes would further pique the students' interest as a result of these awards. While expressing her admiration for the dedication and ingenuity displayed by the awardees, Dr Inyinbor reiterated the commitment of the Directorate to fostering an ecosystem conducive to entrepreneurial growth, emphasising the pivotal role of skill acquisition in shaping the future of any individual.  

The awardees are presented below:

  2. Ojo Oluwatobi (300l Mechanical Eng) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Metal Fabrication

  3. Ehigie Marvellous (300l Animal Science) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Aqua-cash and Fish

  4. Adewumi Oluwakanyinsola (300l International Relations) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Interior Decoration

  5. Uzoanya Blossom (300l Mass Communication) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Make-up and Headgear

  6. Nathan Victoria (200l International Relations – The Best EDS Practical Student in Chemical and Cosmetics 

  7. Akinbola Praise (400l Computer Science) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Shoe and Leatherwork

  8. Omogbare Testimony (300l Animal Science) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Bee Rearing and Honey

  9. Olubamise Jesutomilade (200l Sociology) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Bead and Wirework

  10. Utiome David (300l) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Tie and Dye.

  11. John Elizabeth (100l) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Fashion Designing

  12. Olaseni Praise (100l Computer Science) – The Best EDS Practical Student in Graphics Design

  13. Elochukwu Treasure (100l Mechatronics) - The Best EDS Practical Student in High Technology Small Industry (HTSI)


The faculty who partook in knowledge transfer were recognised for Academic Mutability and Tenacity include:
