LANDMARK MAINTAINS 2ND HIGHEST CONCENTRATION OF AUTHORS

Landmark University’s commitment to becoming a leading world-class institution was again given expression as 25 members of faculty of the University were ranked among the SciVal’s Top 500 Nigerian Authors, making the University maintain her position as the Institution with the 2nd highest concentration of authors on the list for three consecutive years, 2019, 2020, 2021. It is worthy of note that the leading researcher in Landmark University for the 2021 Scival Top 500 Nigerian Author is ranked 13th nationally.

While hosting the researchers in a celebration meeting, the Pro-Chancellor of the University, Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo congratulated and appreciated the researchers named among the top 500 Nigerian Authors on behalf of the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo and the entire members of the Board of Regents, Landmark University, noting the grace of God and diligence as the distinguishing factors for their success.  She emphasized her assertion with the scripture from 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 10 (But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me). She said further that, “By your achievement, you are doing God proud, you are doing Landmark University proud and most importantly, you are making yourself available for greater things in the future.”

Charging them further with Philippians chapter 3 verse 13 (Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before), Pastor Faith Oyedepo advised them not to rest on their oars while assuring them of greater accomplishments ahead of them if they would not relent. “Where you are right now is still far from where God has planned for you. May I inform you that how you handle the success you have right now has a lot to do with where you end up in life,” the Pro-Chancellor enthused.

The Secretary to the Board of Regents and the University, Pastor Frederick Aghahuwa had expressed joy over the news while also congratulating the researchers, emphasizing the platform as one to appreciate them for their hard work, and its impact on teaching, research and community development. He further said that the success would not only be beneficial to the University but also the individual awardee because the publications are in their names. He, therefore, appreciated the Pro-Chancellor for finding time to congratulate the researchers physically.

While presenting the researchers to the Pro-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Aremu had earlier signposted the importance of the platform to recognized accomplishments and the positive implication not only on the psyche of the awardees but also the University system. She, therefore, presented the researchers who have etched their names in the sand of time of Landmark University as follows:
