LANDMARK UNIVERSITY GETS NEW CHAPLAIN

As ratified by the Board of Regents, Landmark University led by the Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Dr David Oyedepo, the new Chaplain for the University, Pastor Oluwatimileyin Omotunbi was formally introduced to the university community during the Tuesday Chapel Service presided over by the Living Faith Church International Kwara State Pastor, Pastor Israel Akinsanya on Tuesday 17th August 2021.

His predecessor, Pastor Tope Johnson who was called for other assignment in the Commission has been providing pastoral oversight in the University since 2018. He was also the Vice-Chair, Administrative Board of the University.

In the same vein, both the Academic and Administrative Boards of Landmark University briefly met to welcome the Chaplain and other new appointees who were the Director of Financial Services (DFS), Mr Fatiregun Christopher; and Chief Internal Auditor (CIA), Pastor Afolabi Ibitoye while the outgoing officers, Mr Dare Fadoju (DFS) and Mr Babatunde Ogungbile (CIA) were celebrated for their unalloyed commitment and valuable contributions towards the overarching vision of the University.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju, it was a moment of rejoicing for the University community because change in the Commission is advancement. While congratulating the outgone officials on successful engagements in the University, he noted that they were all part of the success story of the University from their various platforms of service. Knowing fully well that service to God is never unrewarded, he committed them to God to reward their sacrifices and dedication in the service of the University. In furtherance of the event, the Vice-Chancellor beckoned on the new appointees to see their new appointments as further service to God, saying “come thou with us, we will do thee good, for the Lord has spoken good concerning us”.

An episode of good remarks and awesome testimonies in acknowledgement of their remarkable footprints in Landmark University followed the Vice-Chancellor’s remarks from the Registrar, Miss Fola Oyinloye; the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Charity Aremu, Director, Centre for Learning Resources, Dr Agaptus Nwozor representing the Academic Board; and Directors, Physical Planning and Development (PPD) and Centre for Systems and Information Services (CSIS), Arch.
