MANAGEMENT CELEBRATES OUTGOING DIRECTOR FINANCIAL SERVICES

The 13th Management meeting held on 19th January 2016 would remain memorable in the history of the University, as it had a session to bid farewell to the Director, Financial Services, Pastor Moses Olajide who is on a redeployment to the National Headquarters of the Living Faith Church, CanaanLand, Ota.

Pastor Moses Olajide  who joined the Landmark University in 2012 after serving as the Director, Finance and Budget at the Proprietor’s Mission Headquarter in Canaanland, Ota would hand over to Pastor Fredrick Agauhuwa, a Chattered Account and Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). The incoming Director, Financial Services, Pastor Agauhuwa before his redeployment to Landmark University was the Chief Internal Auditor of Living Faith Church, Goshen, Abuja.

Welcoming the incoming Director on behalf of the Management of Landmark University, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aize Obayan noted the significance of the Directorate of Financial Services in driving the attainment of the University’s Vision, particularly the goal for the new academic session (Attaining New Frontiers in Driving Agricultural Revolution for the African Continent.). She prayed for God’s help in the delivery of the assignment before him.

In his response, the incoming Director, Pastor Agauhuwa expressed his readiness to carry out the assignment which he was sent to do diligently. He therefore appreciated Management for the privilege to be of service to the University.

In a related development, members of Management held a reception in honour of Pastor Moses Olajide, at the Executive Cafeteria of the University.  The Vice-Chancellor who eulogized Pastor Olajide pointed out his indelible contributions to the University. Describing him as someone that would not be forgotten in a hurry, the Vice-Chancellor remarked,“In the last 3 years, 3 months, Pastor Moses could only be described by one word ‘Mr. Diligent’, due to his prompt response to Memos. He is man the Living Faith Commission, Landmark University and Omu-Aran Community would not forget. His zero tolerance to waste and contributions to IGR is highly commendable, to mention a few”. She also commended his exemplary leadership in the Directorate of Financial Services, home front and his pastoral assignments in the Church.

The Registrar, Dr. Daniel Rotimi, reeling out a brief of Pastor Olajide’s Biography, noted that the outgoing Director has exemplified effective management of the University’s coffers. “What you have left behind would indeed leave an indelible mark on Landmark University.”

Pastor Olajide who was elated in his response appreciated God, the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo for the trust bestowed on him to be of service to the University, Management for their support and Members of Financial Services Directorate for working tirelessly as a team.

The highlight of the event included the presentation of gift to the outgoing Director and his family, goodwill messages from other Members of Management and Staff of the Directorate and a congregational prayer led by the University Chaplain, Pastor Ayotunde Adekoya.
