LMU INAUGURATES UNIVERSITY RANKING COMMITTEE

The Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University, Professor Charity Aremu has advised faculty and staff to align with the institution’s drive on sustaining relevance in the global ranking thereby making giant strides towards attaining the leading world-class status.  

The advice was given during the inauguration of the Landmark University Ranking Committee on 6th October 2022. Professor Charity Aremu while inaugurating the eleven-man committee noted that membership was carefully nominated to drive the assignment with visible results. According to the Vice-Chancellor, the task is a noble one that must be driven with commitment and enthusiasm. Professor Aremu made it known that the mandate has moved from enrooting world-class status to sustaining and being the leading world-class university which must be keenly driven and, therefore, called that all hands must be on deck to deliver.  

Continually stimulating in-country competition in the THE Ranking indicators, harnessing the opportunity to attract Nigerian experts in the diaspora to spur research in Landmark University, and coming up with the methodologies for improving the performance of Landmark University in each of the indicators of the Ranking bodies were some of the terms of reference of the committee as rolled out by the acting Registrar, Mr Olugbenga Olajide.

Responding, the Committee Chair, Engr. Olumoyewa Atoyebi appreciated the Management for availing them the privilege to serve in the capacity as he on behalf of other members promised to make meaningful contributions towards advancing the drive. their best to the assignment.

Landmark University Ranking Committee members were formally inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Aremu following their acceptance to serve committedly.
