LANDMARK PLAY HOST
On Wednesday, 5th February 2020, the management of Landmark University ably led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju hosted the Chairman Kwara State Internal Revenue Services (KWIRS), Mrs. Shade Omoniyi and other top members of management of the financial institution.
Receiving the KWIRS team, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju expressed delight to host the top members of management of the organization, adding that the visit shows how highly esteemed Landmark is to KWIRS. He added that Landmark University being a faith based institution with spirituality and integrity as one of her seven core values, always ensures prompt remittance of taxes and other levies in order to be worthy example to other organizations in the state. “Ours is a good-natured community that cherishes spirituality, the fabric of our system which makes us law abiding and tax paying employees in alignment with the scripture as enjoined by Jesus Christ that we should render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s. (Matthew 22:21)”. The Vice-Chancellor in addition urged KWIRS to sustain the cordial relationship both parties have built over the years while hoping that the meeting would further strengthen partnership towards improving Kwara State in Particular and Nigeria as a whole.
The Executive Chairman KWIRS, Mrs. Shade Omoniyi who also appreciated the good relationship both parties have enjoyed so far, made known the intentions of KWIRS to deliver quality and accountable services to the people of the state. Mrs. Omoniyi later eulogized Landmark for promptly remitting her taxes and other levies while urging the institution to work with her team from KWIRS in other to further solidify the existing relationship. The KWIRS Chairperson added that the financial organization has been reorganized to make sure it gets to the grassroots thereby operating a more flexible and transparent tax outfit.
