LANDMARK UNIVERSITY HOSTS SUCCESSFUL MEDICAL OUTREACH IN ILOFFA TO COMMEMORATE PASTOR MRS FAITH OYEDEPOS 66TH BIRTHDAY

In commemoration of the 66th Birthday of the Pro-Chancellor of Landmark University, Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo, a remarkable medical outreach was organized by Landmark University in the heart of Iloffa town in Oke-Ero Local Government of Kwara State on Saturday, February 10th, 2024. The outreach witnessed the participation of individuals from all walks of life to access free healthcare services. The impact of the medical outreach was palpable, with over 100 individuals coming out to benefit from the free healthcare services provided. The team of dedicated healthcare professionals from Landmark University, comprising doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers, worked tirelessly to dispense medical assistance to the community. The services provided included general medical consultations, basic health screenings, medication distribution, and health education sessions, leaving a positive mark on the lives of the community.

Declaring the event open, the Secretary to the Board of Regents of the institution, Pastor Dr Daniel Riotimi noted that the medical outreach served not only as a celebration of Pastor Mrs. Faith Oyedepo's legacy but also as a beacon of hope for communities striving for a healthier and brighter future. He highlighted salvation, faith in God and commitment to living a sin-free life as ways to access divine health and wholeness. He encouraged the community to draw closer to God as such was one of the legacies of the celebrant, Pastor Faith Oyedepo.

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University, Professor Kolawole Ajanaku, had announced that the medical outreach aimed to commemorate Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo's commitment to humanitarian services and her unwavering dedication to community development. While emphasizing the importance of healthy living, he mentioned that the outreach would only take care of minor health challenges while other cases would be referred to the institution’s medical centre located on campus. He, therefore, appreciated the community for celebrating with the institution through their participation in the event.

Speaking about the significance of the event, the Odofin of Iloffa, Chief M.S Oni expressed gratitude to Landmark University for organizing the medical outreach in honour of the Pro-Chancellor, Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo. He noted that the impact of the event will endure far beyond its conclusion, serving as a reminder of the great impact of the university on the surrounding communities.
