The event, held at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, was themed “The Release of Pathfinders 2024” and saw 617 undergraduates, 45 master’s students, 5 postgraduate diploma holders, and 11 PhD candidates celebrate their achievements.

In his keynote address titled “Contribution Mentality—Key to a World of Exploits”, Chancellor Dr. David Oyedepo encouraged the graduates to adopt a "Contribution Mentality," urging them to embrace lives of impact and service. He called on the graduates to focus on making meaningful contributions in their chosen fields, saying, “We live in a consumer’s world, but only those who contribute leave lasting marks.”
Dr. Oyedepo outlined five guiding principles for success, urging graduates to move beyond personal achievements and to think of their broader impact on society. “Your life’s worth is not determined by titles or certificates but by your contributions to others,” he noted, adding, “If you are not making contributions, you are merely existing, not truly living.” He concluded his speech with a powerful exhortation: “Go and add value to your world.”
Pro-Chancellor Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo also spoke, inspiring the graduates to focus on forward-thinking and divine guidance as they begin their professional journeys. "Only those who look ahead, go ahead," she reminded them. She emphasized that understanding one's unique path and purpose is crucial for achieving life’s goals, underscoring the importance of divine direction and intentional growth. “True greatness lies in serving others; never be part of the problem but a solution to societal challenges,” she advised, congratulating both the graduates and their families for their hard work and dedication.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Kolawole Ajanaku praised the university’s achievements, highlighting its growing reputation for excellence among global institutions. “Landmark University stands among renowned institutions worldwide through state-of-the-art facilities and high-quality engagement,” he said. He emphasized the university’s mission to foster reformers, global leaders, and solution providers, crediting the institution’s innovative curriculum for preparing students to thrive in a competitive workforce.
“Our curriculum is life-applicable and transformative, driven by custom-designed programmes that expose students to agripreneurship, the word of God, and leadership under the guidance of Chancellor Dr. David Oyedepo,” he stated. Professor Ajanaku also celebrated Landmark’s recent recognition as the second-best university in Nigeria by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. "Our achievements in research quality and education speak to our dedication," he added, commending students and faculty who have excelled on the national and international stages.
Registrar Engr. Adebayo Ajala applauded the graduates for their resilience and commitment, describing them as “pathfinders ready to blaze the trail.” He acknowledged their perseverance and achievements, reminding them of their role as future problem-solvers. “Today, we honour your accomplishments and the countless hours you dedicated to your studies. Continue seeking knowledge and pursuing excellence in all your endeavours,” he advised. Engr. Ajala extended gratitude to the institution’s leadership, faculty, and management for their commitment to shaping the graduates’ lives.
In his goodwill message, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, highlighted the essential role of agriculture for national growth and stability, applauding Landmark University’s focus on agrarian education. “The only thing that can help Nigeria grow is embracing agriculture as both trade and vocation,” he stated. He encouraged graduates to apply their skills to address pressing issues like unemployment, poverty, and food security. The monarch also expressed gratitude to the university’s engineering department for donating a cassava grinding machine to the community.
Pastor Fredrick Aghahuwa, the Acting Secretary of the Board of Regents, expressed appreciation to the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, faculty, and staff for their dedication to the institution’s mission of excellence and impact. He emphasized the board’s commitment to supporting Landmark University’s continued growth.
