VICE CHANCELLOR UNVEILS LANDMARK UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT FOR THE 2023 2024 ACADEMIC SESSION
As graciously approved by the Chairman, Board of Regents, Dr David Oyedepo, Landmark University unveils its new team of management for the 2023-2024 Academic Session. The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Ajanaku at the first Friday Faculty Fellowship (FFF) in the new session held on Friday, 20th of October 2023. The sixth substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university deeply appreciated the immediate past administration of the university as he cheerfully introduced each of the new members of the management. They were obviously positioned, poised and primed to steer the affairs of the university together with him to the next phase of growth, development, relevance and impact as indicated in their joyful mood, brisk pace and bright faces at the podium for recognition. Addressing the faculty and staff of Landmark University, Professor Kolawole Ajanaku congratulated the university community on the new set of leadership which he said would further drive the vision of the university towards its realisation. He expressed gratitude for the collective efforts and dedication that have propelled the institution's success thus far in the time of the various past leaderships noting the transformative impact on various facets of university life. He, therefore, called on the faculty and staff of the university to give an unflinching support for the new management towards scaling greater heights and attaining more achievements. The Vice-Chancellor not only emphasized the overarching vision of the University but also situated the roadmap towards further realization in the near future. He also outlined their goals for the university, accentuating a commitment to academic excellence through top-notch teaching and research, fostering inclusivity, and embracing technological advancements.
The Chaplain, Pastor John-Oze proclaimed blessings over the new management and congratulated them. In an ecstatic manner at the close of the fellowship, members of the faculty and staff of Landmark University exchanged pleasantries with one another and specially congratulated members of the new management team in anticipation of a more robust and fruitful experience in the new academic session.
Responding to the question of how she felt when her name was mentioned among the new management team as Director University Wide Courses, Dr. Adejumoke Inyinbor says, “When I got the letter of this assignment in my mail, I screamed, because it is an assignment I never thought could ever be given to me. I did not consider myself ever qualified for this assignment. However, the Holy Spirit quickly reminded me that God Himself always qualifies the chosen. Therefore I began to appreciate God for choosing me for such a privileged assignment”. Dr Inyinbor who expressed profound gratitude to God, the Proprietor and Management of Landmark University for various leadership privileges she has enjoyed, remarked that those responsibilities have built her up and continue to make her a better person.
Dr Inyinbor gladly disclosed her projections for the Directorate of the University Wide Courses and fervently prayed for the University, “Aside the NUC courses domiciled in the Directorate of UWC, University peculiar courses which are brain child of the Chancellor (Dr. David O. Oyedepo) are also domiciled here. These courses (Total Man Concept- TMC and Entrepreneurial Development Studies- EDS) are targeted towards buildings a rounded man as well as Job providers in the Kings and Queens of Landmark University so that they can truly make path for others to follow when they graduate. These intentions will be greatly driven from our platform utilizing all available tools. I am convinced that great success will be achieved by the current Management. The vision of this great institution will speak loud and clear this academic session and beyond. Landmark University will assume a great height amongst committee of Universities across the nations of the earth’’. Continuing, “I am indeed grateful to God and the Chancellor of Landmark University. This privilege will never be abused and I will do my best to advance the course of this Directorate and that of Landmark University at large”, she concluded.
The Corporate and Public Affairs Unit gathered that Dr E. Ben Caleb felt generously honoured to be considered as a member of the new Management team having served in the same capacity as the Acting Dean of College of Business and Social Sciences in the last two academic sessions. In his words, “I also considered it an opportunity to continue to make even greater contribution towards the vision and mission of Landmark University”. He expressed a desire for a collective commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration towards sustaining continuous improvement in the management of the university.
In a chat also with the Corporate and Public Affairs Unit, the Dean, College of Engineering, Professor Emmanuel Ajisegiri, appreciated the Board of Regents for his appointment. He said that a maximum output is expected from the current Management as he wished the team an incredibly successful outings and greater heights. The thrust of the interactions had with the team members and the University community has been that of tremendous appreciations, pledges, hopes, aspirations and prayers all geared towards achieving speedy actualization of the vision of Landmark University.
