The Kwara Business Award, established by KWACCIMA, honours institutions and individuals demonstrating exceptional commitment to the state's economic and social progress. The fiercely competitive field of tertiary institutions this year makes Landmark University's achievement even more noteworthy.

Landmark University, a beacon of academic excellence and innovation, has established itself as a prominent force in the state's educational landscape. Since its inception, the university has focused on advancing educational standards, promoting agricultural innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and engaging in community development initiatives. Landmark University has made significant strides in agricultural research, focusing on improving crop yields, sustainable farming practices, and food security. The university's programmes are designed to address agricultural challenges, thereby boosting agricultural productivity. The university provides extension services to local farmers, offering training and support to enhance their farming techniques. This has led to improved agricultural practices and increased incomes for farmers in Kwara State.

Landmark University offers various entrepreneurship programmes aimed at equipping students with the skills needed to start and run successful businesses. These programmes have produced numerous entrepreneurs who contribute to the local and national economy. The university has established business incubation centres that support start-ups and small businesses, providing mentorship, funding opportunities, and resources to help entrepreneurs succeed.

In addition to its educational and entrepreneurial contributions, Landmark University has implemented several health initiatives to improve the well-being of the local community. This includes organising medical outreach programmes and providing access to healthcare services. The university has contributed to the development of infrastructure in Omu-Aran and surrounding areas involving road repairs, providing clean water, and improving sanitation facilities. The institution organises various outreach programmes through the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at improving education in local schools, including teacher training, provision of educational materials, and coordinating healthy competitions for their pursuit of excellence. Landmark University also establishes partnerships with government agencies, non-profits, and businesses to amplify the reach and impact of its projects.

As Landmark University perseveres in its pursuit of excellence, this recognition serves as a catalyst to push the boundaries of academic and social contributions even further.
