On Wednesday, 7th May 2025, the management of Landmark University received the new Divisional Police Officer, CSP Awobayikun Michael of the Nigeria Police Force, Omu-Aran Division, and his team on a courtesy visit held at the University’s Management Boardroom.
The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the newly appointed DPO to the University leadership and to reaffirm the cordial relationship between Landmark University and the Nigeria Police Force. The visit also served as a platform to discuss areas of mutual collaboration, particularly in the maintenance of peace and security within the University and its environs.
In his remarks, the DPO expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and emphasised his commitment to fostering a strong working relationship with the University. He assured the management of the continuous support of the Nigeria Police Force and reiterated their dedication to ensuring the safety and security of the institution’s staff, students, and property.
The Vice-Chancellor and members of management welcomed the DPO and commended the proactive engagement. They expressed the University's readiness to cooperate with the Police in promoting a secure and conducive academic environment.
