Dr Frank Dayo Awonusi started his educational career at St Matthias Primary School, Ilushin, one of the two primary schools in his home town, Ilushin, Ogun Waterside, in Ogun State, Nigeria from where he proceeded to do his secondary education at Ilushin Grammar School in the same town. On graduation Frank got a teaching appointment after which he secured a job first as a Claims Clerk with the famous Guinea Insurance Company, Lagos Nigeria and later as a Clerk with Union Bank, Minna in Niger State, Nigeria. For the urge to further his education, he resigned this appointment to pursue a Diploma course in Kaduna Polytechnic (College of Administrative and Business Studies) where he obtained an Upper Credit Diploma in Management (Production). On completion of the course, Frank briefly taught at both Ijemo Titun High School, Abeokuta and Adeola Odutola Secondary School, Ijebu Ode both in Ogun State after which he resigned to chase the golden fleece in the United Kingdom.
While in the UK, Dr Awonusi attended the then Polytechnic of North London (now London Metropolitan University) from where he obtained a BSc (Hons) in Accounting for Management. He later proceeded to the famous Brunel University, Oxbridge, UK for his MSc in Business Finance. Frank immediately enrolled for an MPhil Finance and Accounting at the then London Guildhall University but soon transferred to Middlesex University after which he enrolled for a PhD program in the same university. This he could not complete simply for financial reasons. Dr. Awonusi who all along had been a committed Christian then proceeded to do a three year full time Diploma course in Christian Administration at Hampstead Bible School. London, UK. With some financial support coming from a Christian Ministry, Frank enrolled to do a three year PhD in Divinity with Trinity International University, USA which he completed in flying colors. Frank possesses a Postgraduate Diploma in Further Education (PGCE) of the London Greenwich University and belongs to several professional bodies.
Dr. Awonusi was ordained a Minister of the Gospel in the United Kingdom and later started his own ministry, the New Creation Gospel Church. He also ran a security business known as Atlas Security UK Limited which he was to later extend to Nigeria as Atlas Security (Nig) Limited where he stills serves as its Executive Director. He is the president and founder of a Christian ministry in the UK called New Creation Gospel Church.
