As a typical son of a farmer, Olusola Agbede has involved himself passionately in the principle and practice of agriculture and forestry virtually all his life.  As a youth, he has a good experience in farming business during his primary and secondary education days.

He subsequently trained as Agricultural Scientist both at University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) for B.Sc. (Agric) and M.phil (Soil Science); and Ph.D Soil Sciences at the University of Aberdeen, U.K.

He had also attended several short national and international training courses in his chosen career such as Forestry Soils (Japan) and Conservation of Soil Science in Britain. He has been the Principal Investigator in a research project award under the Competitive Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) which has produced some publications and geo-referenced maps of Nigeria.

He joined Landmark University, Omu-Aran in September, 2103 and he had since made himself visible in hard work and pace setting.  He gave the first Landmark University Public Lecture, was the first Director Farm Practice. He’s currently the Head of Department Crop and Soil Sciences, College of Agricultural Sciences, Landmark University, Omu-Aran.

He has authored several books in the field of Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition and as well as Soil Chemistry and Microbiology.

He is by the grace of God a Christian by creed and married with children and grand- children.
