BIOGRAPHY: DR AJALA ABIODUN OLADAYO

Born December 9th 1966, Dr. Abiodun Oladayo Ajala, hails from Gbongan in Osun State. He attended A.U.D. Primary School and Iwo Grammar School both in Iwo, Osun State for his primary and secondary schooling. He studied Agronomy at the University of Ibadan where he graduated in 1990 with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. He had his youth service at Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe.

He worked as a teacher at St. Charles Grammar School, Osogbo in Osogbo, Osun State and as Manager Loans with the then Osun State Agricultural Credit Corporation (now known as the Osun State Agricultural Development Corporation) between 1991 and 2004

He bagged a M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in 2001 and 2010 respectively specializing in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology. He joined the services of Landmark University in 2012 as Lecturer II in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension and was promoted to Lecturer 1 position in 2015.

Dr Ajala`s research interest is in technology transfer, livestock extension, and rural studies. He has fourteen journal articles to his credit. He has supervised a number of students for their first degree project. He is a member of the following professional associations: Nigerian Rural Sociological Association (NRSA), Children and Youth in Agricultural Programme (CYIAP), Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), Science Association of Nigeria (SAN) and Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN) His hobbies are reading, writing and farming. Dr. Ajala is happily married with two children.
