Dr. Diagboya attended the University of Benin (Nigeria) starting from 2001 and obtained his first degree in 2005. He obtained his MSc (2009) and PhD (2015) in Environmental Chemistry both at the University of Ibadan (Nigeria).

He was awarded the CAS-TWAS PhD research fellowship in 2011 to be an associate researcher from 2012 to 2013 at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), Beijing (China).

Dr. Diagboya was also awarded the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) S.L. Edu/Chevron Ph.D research grant in 2014 to complete his PhD research; and then, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Federation of African Chemical Societies (FASC) grant to present part of his research at a Green Chemistry conference in South Africa.

In 2014, he was appointed a Faculty and Researcher at Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria.

His scientific research focus includes understanding soils/water–pollutants interactions, and the use of nanomaterials and low–cost environmentally friendly adsorbents for environmental (soil/water) remediation.

Dr. Diagboya has published several high impact peer-reviewed referred articles in SCI-listed journals and also won many awards and recognitions. He is a regular Reviewer for several SCI-listed journals.
